Window — the component of an exterior wall that is installed in a vertical orientation and provides

vision, day lighting, and/or ventilation

 

There are various window styles, each offering unique aesthetics and functionalities. Here are some common types:

 Single Hung Windows

Feature a fixed upper sash and a movable lower sash that slides vertically.​
